You've taken all the required courses in high school, you scored well on the ACT or SAT, you actively participated in Student Government, the French club, and were on the Prom committee. You did it all to take the next step and make it to - college! and now you're here, so congratulations! Ready for the new life, but unsure of what to expect?


Stories from older siblings of countless books to read and late night cramming sessions, images from movies like National Lampoon's Van Wilder and Animal House, cautionary tales from high school teachers about how you had it "so easy" in high school can give you conflicting ideas about what college is really like. So what's the real story and how do you find out what you need to do?

Easy. Enroll in University Success 1001. University Success (UNIV 1001 for short) is an interesting, fun, and informative course for first students to learn about college in general and learn how to use effective strategies to be successful in college. UNIV 1001 is a 1 credit, letter-graded course that meets once a week and gives you a place where you can get valuable information, ask questions, and meet other students easily since the class is so small.
