Service-Learning Opportunities

As part of University Success 1001, students participate in service-learning activities that provide support to UNO community and the New Orleans community. These service-learning projects also enable students to work with one another in a different setting, obtain experience through volunteer work, apply the information they are obtaining in University Success to a “real setting”, and acquire a better understanding of the needs in the community and their role as a member of the community.

These efforts and other projects are a significant part of UNIV 1001, so UNO students can make meaningful contributions to assist in the rebuilding of their University and the City of New Orleans.  The service-learning activities sponsored and co-sponsored by University Success are open to ALL students, faculty, and staff.
